Espécime naturalizado da espécie Alle alle (Torda-anã) pertencente à Coleção de Aves (MB02-0002711) do Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência. É a mais pequena ave da família Alcidae, medindo cerca de 20 cm de altura. Nidifica em ilhas no Ártico mas ocorre no Atlântico durante o inverno. Alimenta-se principalmente de crustáceos.
Naturalized specimen from the species Alle alle (Little Auk) belonging to the Birds Collection (MB02-0002711) of the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência. The smallest bird from the Family Alcidae, with only 20 cm in length. Breeds in islands in the Arctic but it is common in the northern Atlantic during the winter. Feeds mostly upon crustaceans.
