Espécime naturalizado da espécie Phalacrocorax aristotelis (Galheta) pertencente à Coleção de Aves (MB02-0002046) do Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência. Em Portugal nidifica em falésias na costa ou em ilhas, maioritariamente na costa sudoeste e no arquipélago das Berlengas. Alimenta-se de peixe.
Naturalized specimen from the species Phalacrocorax aristotelis (European Shag) belonging to the Birds Collection (MB02-0002046) of the Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência. In Portugal it can be found breeding in cliffs in the southern Atlantic coast and in the Berlengas archipelago. Feeds almost exclusively on fishes.
