As doações permitiram a integração de espécimes capturados anteriormente a 1978.\r\n\r\nThe crustacean collection of MUHNAC was started in 1984, comprising more than 80,000 specimens. It incorporates mostly crustaceans from Portugal and Portuguese-speaking African countries, namely Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Guinea. There are also specimens from other places in Africa and Europe.\r\nThe collection results from after the fire campaigns, from research and donations.
